Inside Deorfrith Lodge

The main hall is capable of seating approximately 75 people and has access to the smaller meeting room which can seat approximately 16 people. The main hall is 13.25m by 7m and the meeting room is 7m by 3.6m.

There are tables and chairs available in the hall store and a data projector is also available for presentations.

The building has wireless internet access which can be used by visitors. Food and drink can be served directly from the kitchen into the hall and there is direct access to the grassed area behind the building.

The entrance hall gives access to the three bathrooms, the kitchen, the main hall and the building control cupboard, it also houses the fire alarm panel, intruder alarm panel and the telephone / wireless internet access point.

The kitchen has a large 6 ring cooker and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and sinks for washing up and handwashing.

There are a variety of pans and utensils as well as sufficient crockery and cutlery to cater for 30 people. There is also some storage space in the cupboards for your own equipment and food.

There are two bathrooms which can be switched to all male, all female or one of each as they have the same facilities inside: three cubicles and associated basins, a shower and hand-dryer. There is also a disabled bathroom / wet-room with appropriate fittings and a walk-in shower.

Outside Deorfrith Lodge

Behing the building is a small grassed area which has its own external electricity sockets and can be floodlit. This is suitable for pitching a small number of tents, a barbeque, or simply as a secure space to get a little fresh air.

The nearby recreation ground (owned by the parish council) is only a couple of minutes walk and provides football pitches, a basketball net, skateboard pipe and play areas for both younger and older age groups.

It is a great place for young people to let off a little steam!

From Deorfrith Lodge itself it is possible to walk directly into the open forest and we can provide some suggested routes suitable for any age group / distance on request.

During the week it may be possible to use the additional football club parking in addition to the limited parking spaces at the lodge itself.
