| 08/08/2011 18:15 | All the Jelly Beans are now property of their respective parents once more, the Fireflies are on their way home too. The Ferry has set sail and the lorry will be home tomorrow afternoon. An end to a fantastic 10 days in Denmark and Sweden, an experience none of us will ever forget. Don't forget the Presentation evening on September 6th at Thornden school and the final reunion camp in October. We will be producing a DVD with a selection of the photos and videos taken during the trip, at the last count there were over 9500 photos! |
| 08/08/2011 17:00 | We found the coach and are heading back down the M3, despite the dealays we should hopefully be fairly close to the expected time of arrival. |
| 08/08/2011 16:00 | Back on UK soil so back on British Summer Time. All we have to do now is get through immigration, find 30+ identical bags and then get on the coach. |
| 08/08/2011 14:00 | Well we are all on the plane but apparently there have been problems with air traffic control in the UK. A 50 minute wait before we get to take off if we are lucky. |
| 08/08/2011 13:30 | The plane leaves in half an hour, let's just hope all the Jelly Beans find the right place to meet amongst the 2000+ scouts from many other countries that are filling Copenhagen airport on their way to Home Hospitality or just home from the World Scout Jamboree! |
| 08/08/2011 10:30 | Jelly Beans bags are all weighed, checked and loaded on the coach - time to say goodbyes to the Fireflies who will remain for a couple more hours also to the last two members of staff on site who have looked after us all week. On the coach and off to the airport. |
| 08/08/2011 10:00 | The final flag down of the camp took place on our own campsite now devoid of anything but light green patches on the grass. |
| 08/08/2011 07:00 | A sunny start and a rude awakening from the siren but everyone was up quickly and very soon the site began to finally disappear as all the remaining tents were taken down, the borrowed equipment returned to the site store and uniforms were donned in place of shorts and t-shirts. |
| 07/08/2011 | A relatively quiet day as those who had made it through till 5am were given the chance of a lie-in this morning. The afternoon was spent on the lake once more (well in the lake for many) and then we began to dismantle the site and the various things around. A quiet camp fire and a mass collection of photographs from every available camera (there are just under 10000 in total). All settled down quite early for their last night under canvas (or in a shelter). |
| 06/08/2011 | Saturday was a day of goings - the last official flag break and many of the other groups on site started to drift away. So we embarked on an ambitious project to build huge rafts big enough to cook, eat and sleep on the lake with. The bravest of them managed to stay through the rain till around 5am! |

| 05/08/2011 | Along with all the other things going on today, we were invited to send some scouts to Tivoli gardens to take part in yet another TV show - the last one of the series for this year - you can see the scouts running in and around at about 1 minute in. |

| 05/08/2011 | Friday began with another birthday and therefore another cake, then into the coach once more for a trip to Bakken - the world's oldest theme park. Returning to site we then made our own pizzas in the outdoor kitchen and from there off to the final camp fire. The Fireflies aeroplane sketch went down well and the Jelly Beans flash-mob Banana song got more people in the middle than there were watching! |

|
| 04/08/2011 | Another sunny day - a little untypical perhaps for our UK day! We gave the camp site a spring clean, finished the construction of Big Ben, set out the badge maker and badge swapping, began cooking Scones and generally made this little corner of a Danish Campsite a true UK destination. Many visitors came to sample the delights on offer, some of them even stayed for Sausage and Mash! After dinner there was a little energetic dancing before the explorers went off to play rounders. The George and Dragon opened its doors at 8:30 to provide a little taste of real British beer and a hint of the british pub experience for the leaders only. |

| 03/08/2011 | Wednesday brought the International day - all the groups on site were invited to build and run a shop in the new town of "Naesbyville", the frontier town had a mayor and a sheriff along with a few assorted residents. Money was printed and all the scouts had the opportunity to spend their money taking part in challenges, pampering sessions and many other activities. To earn more spending money they could work in their own shop / stall or as some found out they could sell their (or someone else's) belongings to the Pawn Shop for a few dollars more. A huge barbeque completes the evening. |

| 02/08/2011 | A very long day today, an early and misty start to the day is followed by a long trip in the coach to the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. An amazing sight and an amazing thing to be part of even as a day visitor. The explorers made the most of their time visiting the many international scout organisation tents and swapping badges, neckerchiefs and who knows what else along the way. We met a few old friends including some of the Hampshire WSJ participants and I am sure made many more new ones during the day. Another long drive back in the coach got us home to the campsite tired but having had a fantastic day! |

| 01/08/2011 18:30 | From the sublime to the ridiculous; we move from this morning's lovely sunshine and heat to torrential rain just as the second round of Viking activities began this afternoon. Still just as everyone rolled back to site we heard that a Danish TV crew was on site looking for some footage of scouts so as we had a few to spare we sent them down to the lake to have a bit more fun! Canoeing and kayaking in the rain - though it felt like it I don't think it was entirely responsible for the amount of water in those canoes! Still smiles all round and a happy TV crew. The video was used in the closing credits of the evening news - the clip is playable below. |

|
| 01/08/2011 10:00 | The explorers are all involved in a variety of Viking based activities; pewter casting, copper braiding, bone carving, blacksmithing and rune carving. |
|
|
| 01/08/2011 08:30 | August has started bright and sunny, perhaps in honour of our birthday girl today. Tilly was honoured at flag break with a cake and treated to the Danish version of Happy Birthday as well as the English version. The rest of the Jelly Beans then decided to make her a few balloon animals and other peculiar shaped creations to kick her birthday off in true scouting style. The explorers are taking part in Viking activities today; pewter casting and black smithing and so on before you start wondering exactly what such activities could be. |

|
| 31/07/2011 21:30 | Another long but gorgeous day in Denmark. The Explorers were let loose in Copenhagen for a few hours shopping, we managed to get them all back on the coach eventually and off to the beach for a swim and an ice-cream. |
|
|
| 30/07/2011 20:00 | A very busy afternoon for everyone. All the explorers got wet in / on and around the lake this afternoon with Rafting, Kayaking, Canoeing and Submarines (a special kind of raft). The site has started to fill up with other groups including some Russian scouts and a few more Danish groups. The whole site is off to camp fire now so it is a good job we are in the middle of nowhere and have no neighbours to annoy. |
|
|
| 30/07/2011 11:30 | The campsite is getting set up, tables are under construction and the sun is shining. |

| 29/07/2011 14:10 | Boarding has started and the plane is filling up with Explorers. |
| 29/07/2011 13:45 | At the gate waiting to be allowed to board the plane. Fireflies have to do all this later on! |
| |
| 29/07/2011 13:00 | The Fireflies have all made it to their coach and are on their way to Heathrow. |
| 29/07/2011 13:00 | All the way through security, belts and boots removed and checked. Time for a quick look around the terminal before going to the gate. |
| 29/07/2011 12:15 | Arrive at Heathrow Terminal 5 - now to get us all checked in and through security. |
| 29/07/2011 12:00 | Malc, Stu and the lorry should be arriving in Denmark about now - then just a few hours drive to the campsite. Let's hope they don't get lost! |
| 29/07/2011 11:30 | Quick stop at Fleet services to pick up the missing Jelly Bean and on to Terminal 5 |
| 29/07/2011 10:40 | The Jelly Beans are off, photos taken, goodbyes have been said, bags loaded and all on the coach. Well except for one that is! |
| 29/07/2011 08:00 | The Jelly Beans start to arrive at Rownhams ready to get on the coach to the airport. |
